Blogs Blogs and more Blogs

I need to blog more.  I've had so many client's say how much they enjoy reading them.  But between life, and some more life, I haven't been able to!  There have been some more huge changes since my last blog, where I was knocked down.  But I've picked myself back up and I am trucking on through :)

I've had a TON of newborn sessions lately.  One of my most recent client's came to see my all the way from Peterborough.  I'm in Mississauga, so that trek was a heck of one!  And boy, am I ever glad that she did.  Baby Camden was the SWEETEST baby I think I've ever had (sleep and pee and poop wise lol).  He didn't pee on me or my props, he slept the ENTIRE time, and he let me curve him and mould him however I wanted to.

His mama is from Nova Scotia.  Which I adored.  Her sweet little accent and Camden's grandparents having one also, I knew they were going to be super fun to work with.  Grandma and Grandpa went exploring Ontario while his session took place, and honestly, it felt like I had known his mom for ever!

She had also told me that when her babe was born he spent some time in the NICU.  Because of it, he received a bead for everything he had gone through.  It was pretty special to her to somehow include his little chain of beads that he received while there.  Once i put him in his "potato sack wrap", I knew it was a perfect moment to get those beads.  Against the white wrap and the cream rug, it stood out.  Holding those beads proudly, he rocked his whole session.

After delivering his gallery to his mama to view, she went on to purchase a 20x30 canvas.  Guys, it was huge.  But she ADORED it and even ordered a few smaller ones.  I cannot express the importance of printing your images.  They're SO much more than something that should be stuck in a camera roll! Or a "once-upon-a-time" image as your Facebook Profile picture.  Ten years from now, whether it's a canvas, or a photo album, being able to look at something tangible and hold it and flip through pages, will be so much more sentimental and meaningful.  You never appreciate the value of it until it's right in front of you.

I cannot thank Camden's mama and daddy enough for letting me photograph his newborn session.  This one holds a special place in my big ol' heart :))
